The author wanted his book to appeal to both students and their parents, so I went with a clean basic layout with a pop of orange to add a little pizazz. I also designed the interior of the book, and provided files for both print and digital publication.
The author was looking for a cover that played with the concept of “travel,” since the book used that metaphor throughout the text. I incorporated bold, attention-getting colors with a clean graphic art inspired by a Google Maps “destination” icon to convey the idea.
